What is meant by the term 'Policy Excess'? |

Most sections of the policy carry an Excess. This is the
first amount of any claim that you will have to pay. The amount may vary

person per section. The Excess will be reduced to NIL if you have used a

What is a Pre-existing Medical Condition? |

For the purposes of this insurance a Pre-existing
Medical Condition is considered to be:
1. any past or
current medical Condition that has given rise to symptoms or for which any form of
treatment or prescribed medication, medical consultation, investigation or
follow up/check-up has been required or received during the 12
months prior to the commencement of cover under this policy and/or
prior to any trip: and 2. any cardiovascular or
circulatory condition (e.g. heart condition, hypertension, blood clots,
raised cholesterol, stroke, aneurysm) that has occurred at any time
prior to the commencement of cover under this policy and/or prior to any
trip.
If you have any Pre-existing Medical Conditions that are NOT ON THE WAIVED CONDITION LIST
at the front of your policy wording, please call 0844 338 6074 quoting the reference "Rock" to assess if you are eligible to obtain
full cover for the condition(s) disclosed.

How do I make a claim? |

or email claimsgeneral@europ-assistance.co.uk. All claims must be submitted within 28
days of your return on a claim form, accompanied by original invoices, receipts,
reports, etc. Please refer to the relevant section of your policy for specific conditions
and details of the supporting evidence that Europ Assistance require. It is always
advisable to retain copies of all documents when submitting your claim form.

Snow mobiling Tobogganing
Off piste skiing is covered when they are skiing within the ski area
boundaries of a recognised ski resort and following ski patrol

17 days Winter Sports Cover is included in our Annual Multi Trip policy
(this can be increased to either 24 or 31 days per year for an additional premium).
If you do not require Winter Sports cover, this can be removed at the point of sale.

What do I need to do if I require medical assistance when travelling? |

Please notify Europ Assistance immediately about any serious
illness or accident abroad where you have to go into hospital or you may
have to return home early or extend your stay (You should first check that the circumstances
are covered by Your policy).
Please contact Europ Assistance on the number shown below, giving Your name
and Certificate number, please also provide a telephone, fax or telex number
where Europ Assistance can contact You or leave messages at any time of day or night.
To comply with the terms & conditions of the insurance You MUST contact Europ Assistance
as soon as possible. You MUST obtain Europ Assistance's
authorisation prior to incurring expenses over �500. If You
have treatment as an outpatient You MUST get a medical certificate
showing the nature of the injury/illness and keep any original bills, which you have paid. You can submit a
claim for these expenses on your return to the UK (please refer to Q4

What happens if my bag is stolen with my travel documents and
money whilst I am travelling? |

You must report theft or losses to the police or relevant
authority within 24 hours of the event and obtain a written report. These
reports are the only proof that the loss/theft did actually occur. Without
them Europ Assistance cannot make any payment to you. If you leave luggage
and personal items unattended in a public place then Europ Assistance
cannot be held responsible for any resultant claim. You should always take
reasonable care to look after your property and treat it as if it were not
insured. There is no cover for cash or valuables left in an unattended
vehicle at any time, even if the vehicle is locked. |

reduced cost health arrangements in the EU, EEA or Switzerland. (Full

NB: In the event that you have used the EHIC to effectively reduce the
cost or your treatment or medicines; then you will not have to pay an
